We aim to empower individuals to lead fulfilling lives, prioritize mental well-being, and contribute positively to their communities. Meet Our Directors
At Mentell2024, our leadership team is composed of individuals who are not only experienced and skilled but also deeply passionate about making a difference in the lives of men struggling with mental health. Our directors bring a wealth of knowledge from various fields, including mental health care, community outreach, and non-profit management. With their combined expertise and unwavering commitment to breaking the stigma around men’s mental health, they guide the organization with integrity, compassion, and vision.

Dawn Marie Petgrave: Founder
Dawn is a dedicated Jamaican Psychological Society (JAMPSYCH) member with an impressive academic background, holding a Master of Arts in Christian Counseling Psychology, a Master of Arts in Forensic Psychology, and degrees in Education and Theology. As a licensed Associate Psychologist and certified Trauma Specialist, she specializes in various counseling therapies, including grief, trauma, domestic violence, depression, and anxiety.
In addition to her clinical work, Dawn serves on the Board of Visitors for the St. Catherine Correctional Centre, where she empowers inmates and influences rehabilitation policies. As a talented entrepreneur, she is the CEO and founder of D’Marie Institute Ltd., the founder of Dawn Marie Therapy, and the visionary behind L.I.F.E. Care Centre.
Dawn has made significant contributions to corporate wellness through her Employee Assistance Programme, aiding staff in managing workplace stress and conflicts. She has also facilitated numerous workshops on mental health topics such as psychological first aid, trauma and grief, divorce, retirement, and achieving a balanced work-life dynamic. Her expertise extends to individual, child, and family therapy.
Combining her extensive training and professional experience with a warm, engaging personality, Dawn is a reliable, detail-oriented, and multi-talented professional committed to enhancing the success of her clients and projects.
Carlos V. Spencer Co-Founder
Carlos V. Spencer is a dynamic speaker, entrepreneur, and former Division I scholarship athlete with a diverse background that includes serving as a New York State police officer. A graduate of the University at Buffalo, he is the founder of two companies: Carlos V Spencer SPEAKS and Grace N Mercy Productions. As a devoted father and a passionate leader, Carlos aims to create a legacy that his children and grandchildren can proudly reflect upon. Carlos is a Professional Execution Consultant. Helping companies and leaders to effectively execute on a higher level.
He is also the author of the impactful 2 books Flip the Switch and Activate Student Success; through which he shares his journeys and insights. Carlos’s primary goal in life is for future generations to look at his legacy and say, “Thank you.” His motivating motto, “LET’S GO, LET’S GROW, LET’S GET IT,” encapsulates his drive to inspire others.
Through his speaking engagements, Carlos aims to uplift and motivate individuals, drawing from his own transformative experiences with powerful speeches. He is a Master Executor who understands the profound impact that words can have, and it is his mission to instigate personal growth and life-altering change for leaders, entrepreneurs, and anyone seeking to improve themselves. Carlos believes that once you become better, everything you do becomes better.
Sherine V. Petgrave Co-Founder
Sherine Petgrave is a dedicated Financial Representative with a strong foundation in business management and entrepreneurship. She holds a bachelor’s degree in these fields. Known for her passion for helping others, Sherine empowers clients to achieve financial stability and independence through personalized strategies and practical advice. Her approach is deeply rooted in understanding each client’s unique goals and challenges, and she is committed to guiding them toward sustainable financial growth.
Beyond finance, Sherine is passionate about fitness and health, believing in the importance of a balanced lifestyle for long-term success. Her love for travel and exploring diverse cultures adds a unique perspective to her work, allowing her to connect with clients from all walks of life.
